We empower immigrants and refugees to thrive, belong, and build lasting futures in the United States.
We support the long-term economic stability of newly arrived refugees and immigrants in King County. PIE achieves this in multiple ways:
- Intensive Individual Case Management
- Job Readiness Training
- ESL and Digital Literacy Courses
- Industry Skills Training for Youths & Adults
- Wraparound support to remove employment barriers
- Youth mentorship
- Housing stabilization
- Partnerships with labor unions, employers and community organizations
PIE’s case managers provide expert, hands-on guidance to help clients successfully navigate the American system, offering individuals support, coaching, job placement assistance, and essential language and cultural knowledge at every step.
Wraparound Support Programs & Partnerships
We prepare members of our community for success in the workforce by addressing employment barriers and providing comprehensive job readiness and skills training, paid industry training, mentorship, and career navigation.
While participating in skills training, pre‑apprenticeship programs, or barrier‑removal activities, clients receive supportive services such as transportation assistance, housing support, education‑related fees, vehicle repair, and other essential resources to promote stability and long‑term success. We continue to support individuals beyond initial job placement to ensure confidence, job retention, and career stability.
Our partnerships with a select group of community organizations are intentionally designed to reflect the unique needs of new immigrants and refugees, resulting in programs and training aligned with community priorities and leading to sustainable, long‑term outcomes.

What does success look like?
At PIE, our work is rooted in shared language, culture, and lived experience—creating a trusted, inclusive environment where immigrants and refugees can learn, grow, and thrive. Through a holistic, community‑centered approach, participants emerge more confident in their career direction, better equipped for the workforce, and positioned for long‑term success.
